I graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Neuroscience. As a student, I conducted extensive research in the department of psychology, completing a senior thesis and earning a research distinction.
I attended medical school at OUHCOM. This was when I was first introduced to the realm of UX. This introduction immediately piqued my interest, prompting me to immerse myself in learning any and all content related to this fascinating discipline.
After considerable introspection and careful consideration, I determined that my passion truly lay elsewhere. I left medical school to pursue UX Design.
Completed a rigorous, full-time, 4 month immersive program that provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles and practices of UX design.
Currently, I’m actively strengthening my design and research skills by taking on freelance projects and contract roles. My most recent client being a startup called Genetica were I completed an end-end project from research, ideating, designing to the delivery of the final product.
I am hoping to find a permanent home at a company that fosters innovation, team building, and inclusion. I plan to leverage my diverse experiences to drive meaningful contributions to the field of UX.

Where I’m From
I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio #GoBuckeyes!
My Heritage
I take great pride in my Egyptian identity. My parents immigrated to the states about 30 years ago. Through which, I have been able to develop my fluency in Arabic.

1. UX Research Techniques
I have a strong background in research that began in undergrad at The Ohio State University. I completed a senior thesis in Psychology and graduated with research distinction
I also had the opportunity to participate in research during the summer of ‘22, which I presented a poster for at FMEC.
My experiences have given me a solid research foundation that I apply in UX, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and literature review.
2. Visual Design & UI
Using design tools like Figma, Framer, Adobe photoshop, Procreate I’m able to visualize and iterate on the UI, creating visually pleasing, clean and professional designs.
3. Interaction Design
I excel in crafting seamless interactions, intuitive navigation flows, and delightful user interfaces. I've designed interactive prototypes incorporating microinteractions and animations to provide visual feedback and enhance the user experience.
With a strong foundation in interaction design principles and an eye for detail, I bring a user-centric approach to every project, ensuring that the interactions are not only visually appealing but also functional and intuitive.
4. Content Design / UX Writing
From headings and microcopies to buttons and menu bars, I utilize the company's voice and tone to craft clear, concise, and effective copy that guides users through the product.
HTML/CSS
I'm currently enrolled in a course to learn HTML and CSS basics. Recognizing the value of a designer's grasp of development fundamentals, I aim to enhance my ability to effectively communicate with developers and design within the constraints of the medium.
Augmented Reality (AR) Design
I understand that extended reality (XR) is becoming increasingly important, and there is a growing need for designers who can work with it. That's why I'm currently learning what differs from designing for a static website/application to designing for an augmented reality experience as a UX designer.
